This web site contains tutorials, presentations, and project documentation pertaining to the work of John Bell during the Spring 2004 course offering of CS 526. The official title of the course is "Computer Graphics II", and the course focused primarily on scientific visualization during the Spring term.

Term Projects

• Terrain Viewer ( Project 1 ) - This project involved visualizing terrain data, extracted from elevation data and image files.
• Volume Viewer ( Project 2 ) - This project involved visualizing a 3-dimensional data set, corresponding to a reduced resolution version of the Visible Woman dataset. Data was extracted and visualized both as 3-D surface contours and also using ray-tracing techniques.
• Weather Display ( Project 3 ) - This project involved displaying a variety of real-world weather related data, defined over the state of Illinois.
• VTK Tutorial ( Final Project )
